Waitakere Golf Club
A million miles from the city but only 30 mins by car the Waitakere Golf Course is a peaceful sanctuary from the daily grind. Nestled in the magnificent Waitakere Ranges surrounded by native bush and birds the course has been developed with minimal change to the natural landscape.
Stunning scenery, friendly staff and welcoming members makes for a memorable golfing experience whatever level of golfer you are.
Frank Nobilo, one of New Zealand's best golfers learnt his trade here and you can see his 1996 Presidents Cup memorabilia displayed in the clubrooms.
Waitakere has a well earned reputation as the fun place to be and whilst we take our competitions seriously there is always plenty of banter and laughter in the club rooms.
Our very well maintained course is a good walk with several elevated greens, wide fairways and stunning surroundings.
As soon as you reach the 1st tee you know you are in for something special. Wide open fairways surrounded by bush covered hills.
It just keeps getting better with the 6th Hole a Signature Par 3 which is reached by walking through a native bush glade to the tee which is up on a large rock set back in the bush with another amasing view.
The course is challenging enough for the most experienced golfer but is also beginner friendly with plenty of space to really enjoy your day out.
Whatever your level of skill you will enjoy the wonderful "walk on the wild side" kind of vibe. You may have to duck out of the way of the Kereru and Tui's that grace our surroundings as well.
We have a fully stocked bar and golf shop, open 7 days a week .
